What is Old is Gold?

Sometimes I get requests from people to do a wedding painting for a parent or grandparent for celebration of wedding anniversaries. I am so delighted to recreate memories for couples and their children/grandchildren that I instantly agree.  Next, they send me old faded black and white photographs, whatever they may have in an album and sometimes its just a few. I look at these again and again until I can visualize a scene that I can paint. Once started the image flows easily from my brush to the paper and its completed. 

Seeing the faces of the respective children when I hand over the painting is enough thank you for me.
